Move to Massachusetts...

Well there is a lot to update.

First, here are some newer pictures of Sammy and Anna. This set is from when Sam was about 6 weeks old:

Here are a few from Anna's 4th birthday:

Here are a few from our trip to Buffalo to visit Grams and Grampa along with the Burrells, it was baby galore! Maryanne was in Buffalo at the same time with the boys so we all got to spend a lot of time together. It was a wonderful trip!

Here is Sam at 10 weeks:

The next few weeks were the start of a new chapter for us all...we moved to Lexington Mass! Bryan's position was transferred to Cambridge and luckily my department gave me a lab to work in up there as well. So we bought an old home that needs a lot of work, but is a really great location. It's a very short commute for me (nearly impossible fete in Cambridge) and the neighborhood is wonderful. The school district is fantastic and we will be able to walk the kids to elementary school. It certainly isn't the beautiful home we left, but it will get there. We are in the middle of a major kitchen remodel as we speak! Mom and Dad came along during the move to help is run smoothly...a big thanks!

Next in..Nanny and Grandad came for a visit to see our new digs and to watch Sam as Mommy went back to work :-( They took fantastic care of Sammy boy (and of us!) The literally got Sam rolling!

Next in..Grams!! Grams came to watch Sam and help Mommy out (she worked non-stop!!). Sam and she giggled all day long!

Sam at 6 months and a trip to the park:

Sam first trip to the grocery where he was allowed to sit up front...how exciting!

Here are a couple of attempts of trying to get some good pictures for the Christmas card. You 'll have to wait until you get it in the mail to see which ones we choose!

Welcome Baby Sam!!

We had a bit of a suprise when baby decided to make his entrance more than 4 weeks early on May 29. Quite a big birthday present for Mommy! Samuel James was born at 4 am and weighed 5 lb 13 oz and was 18.5 inches long. Thanks Kaitlin for coming over to the house at 2 am to watch Anna so Daddy could get to the hospital.

One of the days we were still in the hospital, Bryan took Anna in to the beach so she could dip her toes, since it was still quite cold. You can see, more than toes went in. Call her mermaid Anna. There's also a few of Anna in the yard.

Luckily Grams and Grampa were at Auntie Kristen's already so they were able to coming up for our first few days home to help.

Sam two weeks old:

When Sam was two weeks old, Anna had her dance recital. I will post video soon. Sam came and slept on Bryan the whole show.

Anna decided she wanted to get her hair cut. She was afraid people would want to climb up it like Rapunzel's. Here's a few pics of how cute she looks:

Here's our first trip to the park together.

Here's Sam at 6 weeks. Mommy tried taking nice pictures, but I am not as good at it as Auntie kristen. We'll wait until she comes up next week for Anna's birthday to get some really good ones. He is a cute guy.

Old photos

I have a bunch of old photos I never got around to posting so I'll add them all here, with little commenting so I can get to the new stuff.

Here's a compilation of us decorating the Christmas tree and from Christmas morning.

Over the Christmas break we went to NYC to have a visit with the Richter's. We got t visit with Baby Ben and Ana and Ryan always have a great time together. During a carriage ride around central park we saw Lindsay and Dmitry and we all went out to dinner.

Here are a few pictures from Easter when we had breakfast with the Easter bunny (and the Hanshaws) and from Anna dressing up to find her eggs. Silly duck...or is it chicken?

In March Daddy and a very pregnant Mommy took Anna on our last family vaction as a threesome to a resort in the Dominican Republic. We had a great time. Anna lived in the pool. We met another couple with a girl Anna's age (believe it or not, they were from Stonington CT, 15 minutes away!) and Anna and Tea had a great time playing together. Anna asks all the time if we can go back.
